SPAN Group was recognized for its valuable role and distinguished efforts in the implementation of the Fixed Assets Management System (FAMS) at the Dubai Courts. During a sumptuous ceremony dedicated for the inauguration of the system SPAN's solutions & development manager, Zahi Bitar received the certificate of appreciation from the Dubai Courts' general manager, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Bin Hazeem in the presence of leading of leading Dubai Government's figures. The project, which was handed over this month, consisted of designing and implementing a Fixed Assets Management process that is fully integrated with the government resource planning system (GRP). "We made sure the FAMS fulfills all business requirements and was seamlessly and fully integrated with the courts' GRP. No margins were left for double or manual entries," explains Bitar. "Tags were attached to each asset allowing to uniquely identify an asset and all its related information such as supplier, date of purchase, price, location, department, employee…," continues Bitar. SPAN service team has conducted the initial assets tagging and counting, thus building the assets' register from scratch. The full physical count was followed by assets valuation based on quality and condition and the right depreciation formulas were applied accordingly. |
