4  June 2009 | SPAN Group collects success at the Materials Handling Middle East

PAN Group took part at the Materials Handling Middle East Exhibition, recently organized by Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH. The exhibition was held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sheikh Rashid Hall between 31st May and 2nd June 2009.

Inaugurating the show, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Emirates Group, accompanied by other VIPs started their tour of the exhibition hall by visiting at SPAN's stand where they were attended by the group's managing director Walid Daniel.

The double-decker booth featuring a mezzanine and a drive-in system has witnessed a remarkable turnout throughout the three days of the show. One of the most impressive elements of the stall was an imposing Jungheinrich VNA machine, a unique truck concept with front seat and sideways positioned mast. A warehouse model sitting on a forklift and representing different racking configurations and material handling operations was another centerpiece.

On the sideline of the three-day show, SPAN had a busy time demonstrating the new Jungheinrich ETV Q, a multi-directional reach truck which has received great approbation from presents at the demo area.

Speaking on this occasion, Sabri Al Sabra, SPAN's sales manager said "Our participation in this exhibition comes within the framework of our commitment to the logistics industry. We have received a number of serious inquiries which is a sign that the economy is recovering. Such exercise is always a good opportunity to boost the success we already have in the region."
